There is a bit of information here about El Gaucho for a large gathering.

We are experts on this topic as we travel with crowds of people...one time up to 48...
anyway...these are the places that have worked for us...
El Gaucho upstairs round tables
Sunset Grille outside
Sunset Bistro
Mirandi
Argentinian Grill
Casa Tua downtown
Hadicuari
MJ's
Chalet Suisse- private room
Laguana Buffet- plenty of space !!!
Hard Rock
Tony Roma's

Ones that haven't worked for us
Omats- some how can't get their tables together
Iguana Joes- space and service, bad and slow
Cafe Plaza - space and availability
Pinchos- though, this is a place not to be missed
Wacky Wahoos- a must, but small inside
gianni's- though, I am hearing good things about the place now

A couple of pointers...we handle seperate checks, and although its a pain for the waiters we can make it work by designating families...ok family A, hands up and now order...family B, hands up, now order...if the waiter can deal with that the tip is worth it for him in the long run.

One good thing about Laguana...it is a buffet. This works out very well with a large group because you get to walk around and see everybody.

Ever go to a restaurant with a large group and get stuck sitting next to the one person you don't want to be near? Go to dinner and only get to talk to maybe four or five of the group? The buffet cures that.

I also travel with a large group. We have had good experiences at Screaming Eagle, LG Smiths and Que Pasa.
