    Question Passions vs. Madame Janette's

    Hello!

We are going in June to celebrate our 16th anniversary. We would love to go out for a nice dinner to celebrate, but we are trying to keep to a budget and can really only afford one night out at a higher-end restaurant. If you could choose just one of the above restaurants, which do you think??

I know this is a toughie, and we would love to visit both, but I think this time we can really only do one.

    Thanks for any help!

Since your only doing one high end night, I would choose Passions as it comes with a sun set and music! And both the food and service are excellent.

    Madames Jeanettes or Passions

We have been to both restaurants. They are both lovely, and Passions is directly on the beach. I found M.J. very romantic and the food was amazing.

    My vote is for M.J.

    ENJOY !!!

I prefer mj if there is a breeze. Exceptional food and service.

    Pricing is similar at both.

Food always exceptional at both and bathrooms at MJ better than the portapotties that
are at Passions on the beach. there r real bathrooms across the street at the resort.
Also I do not know if passions still serves its drinks in plastic but the only time we dined there it did and that was a turn off.
Maybe our resident Passion expert Amy will have the latest on Passions. It is one of her favorite restaurants on island.

MJ's > Passions ---- MJ's the food is better and service is better and is somewhat unique. If you are spending all day on the beach - why go have dinner on the beach also? I was also somewhat dissapointed in the food at Passions.

    My vote - MJ's!

Red face I am in the minority here- No FLAMES please.

Taking off my moderator's hat and this is my opinion and the opinion of my family only...

I am in the minority here
...but our family much prefers Passions over Madame Janette. We have been to MJ'S twice and the food was good, but being just plain HOT in a close atmosphere with a fan blowing down on us was not very romantic and my dh refuses to sweat through another meal no matter what the weather. Probably not my first choice either , but I am fully aware we are in the minority.

With that said, when in Aruba and celebrating a special occasion whether it be a birthday or our wedding anniversary we do choose Passions. The atmosphere cannot be beat, the food is very good, the service is excellent and I do not know about anyone else here, but I can eat dinner outdoors here at home about 8 months out of the a year. It is only at Passions that we are able to eat dinner outdoors, under the stars with the palm fronds rustling in the wind, the waves lapping at the shore and the stars overhead.

    No FLAMES please.

MJ's has the best food on the island, with quality and variety.

If you love fish and know that is what you want there are many choices, but for a full menu with quality top to bottom you can't beat MJ.
