We have gone to MJs 2 times on each of our last 10 trips. Had only 1 meal that wasnt up to standards.
And dont order a salad because you are "not very hungry" like I did about 4 years ago. I ordered a caesar salad with grilled chicken. I think the waitress had to carry it with both hands. The bowl was the size of a mixing bowl and it was full. I ate about a third of it. The rack of lamb is excellent. The steaks are excellent. the seafood is excellent. The augratin potatos are excellent. Even the marinated onions they serve with the bread are excellent.
If you do happen to get a "bad" meal, be sure to have your waitress tell the chef.

Yikes hmmmmmm ok lol!!! Sooo, at first I thought, OK, we will not go to MJ because it may not be as romantic and I am not a big seafood fan... but then I see that they offer many other non-seafood dishes. And I do see that it is a place to see if you are in Aruba. But like I said Passions is so romantic......

I am thinking it may be too difficult to choose one over another...It is budget that would hold us back, but to be honest in addition neither my husband nor I are true foodies so the long hours one must dedicate to a formal meal out may hold us back from more than one evening at a restaurant....

I want to thank everyone for feedback!! This is one to think on, and weigh pros and cons and see what we truly wan!

    thanks again!

A less expensive option with a great atmosphere is Pinchos. The restaurant is on a pier in the water. Make a reservation for 6:00 and ask for a sunset side table.

    You can't beat the view!

Trust me. MJs is not what you would call a formal night out anywhere except Aruba. I wear shorts or slacks and a golf shirt, Linda wears pants or skirt. Order your meal at 7 pm and be back at your resort by 9 pm. Not a lot of lost time.

Good point and good to know...maybe there is a way we CAN do both! So maybe Passions for the "official" anniversary celebration, and MJs for the experience of it!!
