Day 2, we decided upon the Pelican's Nest on the Pelican pier near Holiday Inn since we could walk. It is an outdoor setting at the end of the pier. Again, we were seated at a table we sat at previously.
A recurring theme that I began this night was having a different drink at each restaurant, being a house specialty or good old stand-by. Tonight I had the Relaxer and after 2 I was relaxed. I may make it my summer drink this year.
I had the tenderloin kabob which came on rice. It was very good, and the rice very flavorful. I usually don't like rice as it is can be so bland. This had great seasoning to it. I was really bad at writing down what DH had, always saying "Oh, I'll remember". What was I thinking? I'm 50!
They did have a man strolling around the restaurant playing the guitar and serenading the guests. He would give the kids marimbas or tambourines. We couldn't understand him with his thick accent, but he played the guitar well. He sang a song not in English and when I asked him what it meant, he said he didn't speak English, so we don't know.
More drink, I mean dinner, reviews to follow.
