Fabulous surf and turf specials and best escargot I've ever had. It is now on our must do list. Screaming Eagle also fantastic. Pizza Bobs at Tropicana good choice for lunch, as well as Islander Grill. We were disappointed with the food truck but many do love it.

And as Liz said, Pata Pata happy hour is great fun!
I was going to mention that the escargot was very good at La Ramblas. Yummy.

I dinned at Tulips twice in November 2016 which are owned by Amsterdam Manor and the food was great, casual and affordable. They have this seafood casserole that is to die for! Seriously! It had everything from grouper, salmon, shrimp, calamari, the works!. it was part of prefix meal under $30 which included an appetizer, the entry and dessert. I took the dessert (cheese cake) to go. I was just too full with the casserole..
I eat at Mango's once or twice every trip just to visit with the people I know that work there. The food is o.k. I used to go to Tulip's often when I was by myself. I would go early because I would meet up with friends later on in the evening. No one would be there but they would always ask "do you have a reservation". I would say no and they would give me a look. By the time I would finish my meal, there might be one or two other tables that came in. Finally I said the heck with this place and never went back.

Thanks to all of you for all of the choices to look through. I am starting to get excited for the trip and with the snow coming down....I wish I was already there.

There is also Cinnabon & Carvel in the lobby at LaCabana for coffee/sweets for the little guy. Pizza Bob's totally gets our vote over Sbarro. Madame Janette is a very short taxi ride from LaCabana. It is walking distance, but not quite the safest way to get there. Chalet Suisse is a must for us a few times each visit.

We always stay at Amsterdam Manor (next to LaCabana) - these are our favorites in the Eagle Beach area:

Passions - still love a romantic dinner in the sand at sunset with my hubby (no, it doesn't get old for us when there is champagne, great sunset, and dinner. )
Mango's - located at Amsterdam Manor
Asi Es Mi Peru - located next door at Paradise Beach Villas. Haven't tried it yet since they just opened but can't wait (always love trying a new place and love Peruvian food!) https://www.asiesmiperuenaruba.com/
Tulip - located at MVC Eagle Beach
Chalet Suisse - it's an okay "solid" restaurant but not one of our favorites since their menu is pretty basic (the sort of stuff we can easily get at most restaurants within a few miles of our house at any time)
Terrazza Italiana - located on the rooftop at Paradise Beach Villas - small place, definitely need reservations
Zuzoroh - also a small place and you probably need reservations if you go at the normal dinner hour. We dine late on vacation so we've never needed reservations here. It's located down the street from Screaming Eagle.
Screaming Eagle - always one of our favorites for dinner and/or after dinner drinks and dessert at the bar.

For lunches in the area we tend to eat at the beach bar at Amsterdam Manor (casual bar food - sandwiches, salads, apps) or walk down to Tulip (alot of times we just make sandwiches since we have a kitchen and bring snacks and sandwiches to the beach with us so we don't eat out for lunch on a regular basis.)

    Have a great time!

Everyone's got it covered..... Do consider Buccaneer..... surprisingly great food at good prices.... and your 'twerp' (you started it) will love the fish tanks. Only a short cab ride away.

Chuck, my son wants fish in the worst way....going there could get me into trouble at home as my wife has firmly said she wants nothing to do with cleaning a fish tank. IF our "twerp" gets one....its my job to clean it.
