    I can tell you that's not what I meant by rough but not sure about the above poster. But then again, this is going back a few years and things may have changed. We witnessed a couple of illegal deals going on when we got out of the car. Not something I would ever want my children to see and something I would be nervous about if I were alone with them.

    Yes. The area needs some gentrification - there's an old, run down department store across the street that you can see from the second floor balcony of Que Pasa (which you can dine on)... the building was for sale back in February. Hopefully somebody will be able to turn it around because it's a bit of an eyesore.

    The area is safe but I agree that its getting a bit tired. The exceptional staff has moved on and the artwork has changed from creative Aruban scenes to cheap looking Jamaican art.

    Good to know! I had only been on that street at night and things can have a differerent feeling at night if you are not used to it.
