This was our first visit to QDC - and the lead up to it, thanks to various forum member reviews, was high anticipation. We'd dined at Barefoot quite a few times so our expectations were high.
We arrived just before our 8:00 pm reservation. One note: they may want to pave the front area for parking and mark spots: it wasn't clear where we should park... in front or on the side. But nothing cataclysmic... just a note as I'm sure the restaurant's popularity is going to grow.
BEAUTIFUL setting: courtyard dining in the back of the historical building:
Short of being on the beach with the view of sunset, this might be one of the nicest restaurant settings on the island.
We started with two cocktails: Grey Goose Martini and a house-specialty Mojito... the Mojito was beautifully presented and delicious (everybody knows what a martini looks like, correct?) - the sprig of mint in the centre of the ice mound was an entertaining touch:
We both had appetizers - ceviche for me and mushrooms in cream sauce for The Spouse. Both beautifully presented. The ceviche was perfectly balanced: not too tangy nor watered down. The Spouse would have had another mushrooms in cream sauce for a main!
