    Thank you Lisa, I made this last night and served it over vanilla ice cream...it was so freakin good! I added a chopped granny smith apple, just because I had them on hand and hate to let things go bad...plus it smelled like it "matched" lol

    You are welcome! Ironic, dh made the same but with peaches on Saturday! It is all good!

    Thumbs up Dh ran across these ...

    Aruba

    2 oz. Gin
    ˝ oz. White Curacao
    1 oz. Lemon Juice
    1 tsp. Orgeat Syrup (Orgeat syrup is a sweet syrup made from almonds, sugar and rose water or orange flower water.)
    ˝ Egg White

    Shake well with cracked ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.


    Aruba Rum Punch

    1 oz. Bacardi White Rum
    1 oz. Mount Gay Barbados Rum
    1 oz. Myer's Rum
    2 dash(es) Bitters
    1 splash(es) Grenadine
    1 oz. Orange Juice
    1 oz. Pineapple Juice
    ˝ oz. Sour Mix

    Pour into a hurricane glass with ice. Stir well. Garnish with a cherry and an orange slice.


    Aruba Smash

    2 oz. Spiced Rum
    1 oz. 7-Up
    1 oz. Lemon Juice
    1 oz. Orange Juice
    dash(es) Orange Bitters

    Mix in a highball and serve over ice

    Pan Bati

    Pan Bati

    Mix in a bowl:
    2 cups flour
    1 cup corn flour
    2 tbs baking powder
    pinch of salt
    sugar to taste

    Add:
    1 egg
    1 3/4 cup milk
    vanilla to taste

    Batter the mixture until it becomes smooth (approx. 25 min) . If it is not smooth enough add a little water gradually until it smooths. Like pancakes, put the mixture on a greased pan and turn the pan bati upside down when the downside is brown or dry.

    Chef Thomas Mitter Amadeus Restaurant

    Austrian Spaetzle Recipe

    Serves 8 (for a main course, serves 4)

    Ingredients:
    1 lb flour
    4/5 eggs
    1 teaspoon salt
    1 teaspoon parsley
    Nutmeg and white pepper for taste

    Directions:
    Mix the flour, eggs, salt, nutmeg, pepper in a large bowl.

    Let the dough rest for ˝ hour and than press the dough with spaetzle press or potato ricer into slightly boiling water. When the spaetzle rise to the surface, remove them from the pan with a slotted spoon and place them in ice water to stop the cooking process. After they are cold, drain well and use as side or main dish.

    (NOTE: For Cheese Spaetzle, place onions, cubed ham in sauté pan until golden brown. Add spaetzle and cubes of Gouda cheese. Sauté until the cheese melts. Add salt and pepper to taste and serve with Boston lettuce.

    lisa how much sugar do you use for pan bati?
    if i make it and use let's say 1/4 cup sugar do you think that would be a good start?
