I really dislike tilapia. Thin white fish, no flavor. Thanks for the head's up.

    "grouper-style tilapia" is like saying, "it's a Volkswagen-style Mercedes..."

Grouper style tilapia...that makes me sad that they try to pass it off as grouper.
Not sure when, but we will be back

Actually, heard from locals, that many restaurants passing tilapia as grouper.
Whole Red snapper is way to go.

I have read about this bait and switch many times, kind of sad they would do this IMO.

Yes and some of the farm raising procedures are very questionable.

The odd thing was the waiter immediately offered the info when I inquired.
he made no attempt to explain or offer excuse.

On on the real upside of the place the bloody Mary's were the bomb!
the beach good as were the lounges.

Now I am wondering if that is what Bucaneer served me the one(and only- not worth a second chance) time we went there. I do not like tilapia and what they served me when I ordered grouper was not grouper. Was so turned off from ordering fish the rest of that trip. I guess lesson learned- I will ask more questions next time I order grouper- Thanks Andrea!

Which also reminds me of LAVISTA at Marriott having "Swai" listed as grouper-like Swai.

And on on the same wavelength as act1966 it is like saying "Julia Roberts- fat old version though named andrea"

This is a turn off for me. It's false advertising and unless you ask, you've been duped. No doubt they charge "grouper style" prices.
