Will we need to make reservations for Madame Janette? And do they have a lounge / bar area?

IMO, its always a good idea to make reservations, tes they have a bar but can get crowded.

Madame Jeanette is one of the most popular places and so making reservations in advance is always recommended. Not sure when you are going but if it is in high season, I would suggest you make most of your reservations ahead of time.

We are going to be there during high season and it has been a struggle to get reservations at some of the places at the popular dinning time.

Thanks Randi, we are going to be there starting Thursday of next week. Any recommendations on certain tables or areas of the restaurant that we may want to request. Never been so not sure of the atmosphere / scenery.

I like to sit in the "outside" area. The whole restaurant is outside but one area has a lower type roof and tends to be a little warmer there. I prefer the area with no roof area.

i prefer the outside as well and not the porch.
we always ask for bug spray too just in case the mosquitos are around.
