Question Reservations Necessary?

Hello,
I will be traveling to aruba soon and just wanted to ask which Resturants do you need reservations for? I know we want to go to Madame Jannetts definitely and possibly Flying Fishbone (and about a dozen others I heard were great)... but do most have availability for booking once we arrive, or should I start looking into reservations now?
thanks!

We have never made reservations anywhere during low season until we got on the island. Most of the time we made no reservations at all except for Mdm Jeanette. These days you would need resi's for Chefs' Tables as well.

High season is a different story.

Please tell me what months are considered "low season" in Aruba.
We're going in May 2008.

Thanks!!

May is low season (and our favorite month to go). The high season ends in April.

If you know the day you want, may as well reserve now. But you will have to call to confirm once you get on the island.

Especially if you want a waterside table on the beach at sunset.

I don't think you need to make reservations now for May 2008 but for Madame Janette's and Flying Fishbones, I would recommend that you e-mail them about two weeks before your trip to make reservations to be sure you have a spot. At Flying Fishbones, take the 5:30 reservations to be sure you have a good table on the beach for a nice sunset. It really is worth going early. Planning and anticipation is half the fun of a vacation - enjoy....Cheryl

We are going to Aruba (first time) for our honeymoon, Sept. 22. I have made reservations at MJ's and also Flying Fishbone (requested waters edge, as I was told to do.) Another place we would like to try is Texas de Brazil. Does anyone know if its really neccessary to make a reservation there? Is it possible to get in there on a few hours notice in September? Thanks!
