    Restaurant gift cards?

Do any of the restaurants sell gift cards? I just had some great service from a lady at Costa Linda and I would like to get her a gift when we get there.

I hesitated to post this. I don't want to be the 'negative guy'.

I don't think a gift card is a good idea for a service person. Typically, when you give a GC to a person, they have to add their own cash to it to pay for a dinner (usually for two people) at a tourist friendly restaurant. She may not be in a financial position to do that. I'd recommend cash.

Of course, if the GC will be enough for dinner for two plus tip, forget I said anything.

My thought was to ask her what a couple of her favorite restaurants are, like we wanted to get ideas on a good restaurant to go to, and then get her a gift certificate good for dinner for 2.

    That's very generous!
