    Restaurant recommedations?

Hi there - we'll be heading down to Aruba soon from Connecticut. We'll be staying at the Westin.

It will be me, my wife and our 9 year old daughter.

What are some reasonably priced, good quality restaurants near to the Westin? (are the Westin restaurants any good?)

We'd probably most prefer Italian or seafood, though my wife would surely like some Chinese/Asian, if possible, at least once.

    Thanks

grr - feel like an idiot for spelling recommendations wrong.

There are quite a few nice resonable places just up the street from the Weston. Towards the left as you leave the hotel.
    Just to many to mention.

Ditto! Also, Pago Pago at the Westin has excellent food as well (but again, not inexpensive.)

Some nice casual restaurants that are walkable are Cafe Rembrandt, Cafe Da Vinci (Italian), Casa Tua (pizza), Smoky Joe's (ribs, etc.) and.....as said above, too many more to mention.

It was a few years back, but as far as hotel food goes, we at at Cafe Baci a number of times whenever we stayed at the Westin. Never did we have a bad meal. If you are looking for reliable Italian, it may be a very good option.

Would love to hear your opinion on the Westin upon your return.

We have stayed at the Westin 3 times. We stayed there when it was the Wyndham too. We like to stay there when we need a few nights before or after a week in a timeshare. The restaurants there are very good. Blossoms is excellent asian. Blossoms is set up with 3 different areas of quisine. When you walk in the door you will see the teppanyaki grill areas to your left. This is fun dining sitting at the table and watching the chef cook everyones meal. In the center you will find the sushi bar and tables and on the right is the chinese restaurant area.
The Terrace restaurant is great for lunch by the ocean.
As someone said earlier, there are many restaurants along the street that the Westin is on. They start about 2 blocks north of the Westin and continue all the way to the mall. The Westin is at the south end and the Holiday inn is at the north end of the road. There is a concrete path(boardwalk) on the beach side of the highrise hotels that goes from the Phoenix(south of you) all the way to the Holiday inn and there are sidewalks on the roadside all the way to the shopping mall.
p.s. they give you frozen fruit on a stick by the pool sometimes.
