I like the idea of setting up tables and having the opportunity to sample different restaurants offerings. Here at home (Boston area) restaurant week has become something to be avoided. The idea was good; go to a restaurant; order from a fixed price menu at a reduced price. A nice opportunity to try some of the higher end places. Unfortunately we found that most all of the participating restaurants served basically the same menu. Servers weren't happy because the bills were lower and therefore so we're their tips. My feeling is the A team wasn't in the kitchen. Hopefully, it's different in Aruba! I tried to check out their site but it was down for maintenance.
I was told that these are the participarting restaurants. Does anyone know different or if any of these are not participating or others to be added? MooMba Beach, Hadicurari, Salt & Pepper, Tango Argentine Grill, Fishes and More and Café The Plaza
what mostly appeals to me at the cafe' plaza are the late night sandwiches after a winning or losing night in the casino
however they sometimes have awesome soup on their specials.
i have always enjoyed everything that i have ever eaten there, but have never sat there for a real meal (salad, entree)
usually just a sandwich and a cold beverage or hot tea for us.
Heres Cafe the Plaza
nothing appealing to me in the least
great location though for drinks and listening to singers on stage[/QUOTE]
