    Restaurants

We all have our favorites but every trip I like to try at least 1 new restaurant. I also like to try casual places. This trip coming up in June I want to try Bavaria. The menu looks good! I'm not a big beer drinker but I would like to try out some German Beers, food so it will be a new experience for me. There was this place I wanted to check out by the low rise area I had heard about Life Is Beautiful where they make pancakes, omlettes etc. I usually go for walks in the morning in that direction so who knows.

I'd like to mention "The Pastechi House" downtown. Locally owned and a great place for a quick bite if you're walking around shopping.

Another restaurant has bit the dust. Life is Beautiful closed a week ago.

There appears to have been MANY that have gone under in the past couple of months. To many choices and not enough customers...I am not advocating for more hotels though.

    damn

    that is unfortunate.

many many tourists opt for NO breakfast or lunch....just snacks on the beach or by the pool OR eating meals in their timeshare units OR eating much closer to their resort.

The problem is supply and demand. In the last 10-15 years I would guess the amount of places to eat at has exploded by some exponential number and the tourist growth rate has not kept up despite the great gains Aruba has seen thru the years.

And the Rui being all inclusive took 360 +/- rooms with 2+ diners per room out of the restaurant market when they took the Wyndham/Westin. And how many potential diners were lost when they opened on the Aruba Grand (think that's correct) property....?
