Thumbs up Restaurants that are good for groups

Can anyone recommend a restaurant (or a few) that would be good for a group of about 12 adults? We don't really want a stuffy atmosphere (it is a birthday celebration). Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

This past march we were celebrating girls 50th (UGH), and decided to try El Gaucho...there were 13 of us and we had a blast, nobody told us to settle down or anything....although the table across from us had about 10 people and they were louder then we were. They put us upstairs...it was a great time and you really do not have to get all dressed up to go.
I really don't think you will have a problem anywhere though, most of the restaraunts are very willin to work with you.
Have fun and have a drink for me!!!

The Promenade accomodates group functions (across from Divi Dutch Village near grocery stores) and is excellent. They had a kid's birthday party when we were there at Sunday brunch...mostly adults except for a few little kids, but it was a large group. Live music too.

If you're looking for a casual/fun atmosphere Smokey Joe's for ribs is another option to consider. How could you not have fun sharing a rack of baby back ribs with your friends with a splash of sauce dripping from your chin?

we've had success at a few restaurants with 14 adults...Sunset grill, Madame Jeannettes, Tesax e Brasil, and Ruins del Mar. They all did require reservations though, and all were accomodating. Good meals at all and all of us were happy. We didn't have good luck with a large crowd at Iguana Joes because they just didn't have the space or at Passions with slow service. I think the reservations were key.
