    Restaurants with live music

    Hello All!

We are coming to Aruba for the first time in 7 years soon. It's our third trip, first with kids (4 and 6 years old). My son has always been really into Reggae/Steel Drum music (maybe because he was in my belly last trip ) and my daughter has now followed suit. We are looking for restaurants that play live music. We are staying on Palm Beach, but will likely venture out a time or two. Could be upscale (maybe not 7 course upscale ) or beach bar - really just looking for any at this point so we can research our dining further. We truly appreciate any feedback!

For a very casual meal outside with live music I would go to the Bugaloe (located on a pier between the Hilton and Riu.) Their music schedule and menu are located on their website: http://www.bugaloe.com/

We also enjoy Fusion that's located near the Alhambra Casino. https://www.facebook.com/FusionAruba/

And downtown you can hear live Cuban music at Cuba's Cookin' which is always fun! http://cubascookin.com/

The Bucuti & Tara has a steel drum player at there beach bar, "The Sandbar". It's kind of funny though - he plays things like Adele which is hilarious on steel drums.

Unfortunately, Bucuti only allows hotel guests and their visiting friends at the SandBar.

An upscale option would be dining at Solanio on their patio. They have live music and great food/service. Ask for Oswaldo if you go, tell him Jay from Boston sent you.

    http://www.bugaloe.com/ re the Bugaloe

with a preschooler and a 6 yr old you will have to be on your toes! (and i am sure that you are )
the Bugaloe sets out on the water with somewhat open sides...i do not think there is a rail.

Beach Bar at Playa Linda has a steel drum band during happy hour, I believe it is on Mondays.
Not sure when, but we will be back
