RestaurantsAruba.com

Does anyone know why this website does not fix up their list of restaurants? They have restaurants that are no longer in business (Valentino's and twinkletones to name a few) still listed. I emailed them last year about this after I tried to get an online reservation with Valentino's and received no response. After waiting a number of weeks I started enquirying and found out that it had not relocated and reopened. It makes me a little nervous about making a reservation online with this website as you are unsure if the restaurant is still around. Is no one monitoring this website?

Our apoligize that we did not receive your e-mail about the closed restaurants. We try to keep the list up-to-date as possible.
With over 200 listed restaurants in our database, it can happen that a restaurant is closed while it is listed on our website.
Sometimes we hear that a restaurant is closed, and we remove the restaurant. But most of the time we hear it from our clients, other restaurants or website visitors.
Kind regards,
Melvin Trost

Thank you so much for responding. Is there an email address where we can report restaurant closings?

E-mail info@worldwide-travelguide.com with a subject line:
RestaurantsAruba adjustments
(so we see it if the e-mail is marked as spam)
Thanks!

It's amazing how often restaurants move, change names, or close altogether. Remember Crustaceans and Steaks? It lasted about two seconds.

I do so love being able to make a 'to go' list from Melvin's site.

(Trouble is, they keep opening even more good places. Clearly, the only solution is to spend a month in Aruba.)

They still have C & S etched into the glass doors that lead to the bathrooms at the Screaming Eagle!

I made the "to go" list from Melvin's site this year, too. It was handy to have all of the phone numbers at my fingertips for reservations.

Yep, one month....I'm with ya!

Thumbs up

Pretty cool new feature on the website www.RestaurantsAruba.com.

They have placed restaurant locations on a Google Map. Google Map now includes many street names so make it very easy to view where a restaurant may be if you are not familiar with the aerial locations.
