I updated the post on my blog to show the menu and a few evening shots. The sunset wasn't great last night so.... anyway. Take a look.

Beautiful! Yes, this is so much like FFB used to look like bout 10 years ago!! WOW!! We will now venture back to Savaneta for dinner again!

I will have the papaya seared catch and hubby will go with the balsamic lamb chops!

Can't wait to dine there next month!

p.s. My husband could use some of those passes! Maybe he needs to buy a house in Aruba!

Amy,

Get out of jail free passes can be expensive, but not really. Sorry I won't be here when you guys fly in. Would like to share a few beverages.

SanNic44 - thank you for sharing this information on the new restaurant! Just sent it over for the beau to check out and see what he thinks - we're big on checking out new places and new food - him more so than me
Look forward to hearing more about what is going on down there.

Sorry we're going to miss you, too! Would have been fun kicking back at Charlie's or in Savaneta over a few cold ones!

Any word on how I can make reservations at "The Old Man and The Sea"? Thanks in advance!

Thanks all for the new find. We'll try it this Oct/Nov.

I agree with Amy; FFB back in the Spa days was much nicer. The party of 12 last year, 3 feet away lowered my motivation to return.

Technically, the place doesn't open until 18 August. I've been sneaking over, like the stray cat I am, to sample the fare and the, uh... booze, all under the cover of writing my next book and entertaining Mrs. 44 in high style.

Their website is only a splash page at http://www.theoldmanandthesearestaurant.com.

The phone listed is (297) 735-0841.
