Rum and Rum Shops

We are heading back to Aruba in July and have become very interested in rum through all our Caribbean travels these last few years. I wanted to get everyone's take on what rum shops to visit and what are their favorite rums and rum bars in Aruba.

We are planning on bringing back some Rum Palmera Premium Gold to add to our collection. We are also planning visits to the following rum shops or bars:

Essoville Rum Shp
Rancho Josey Snack Shop
Zeerovers
Caribbean Store
Pos Chiquito Rum Shop
Urataka Center Rum Shop
Manuelito's
Charlie's Bar, been here before
Cheetos Rum Shop
Casibari Rock Formation


Besides duty free, does anyone have a good place to find hard to get rums? Are there any can't miss local places that I don't have on my list? Does anyone have more details on any of these places that they would like to share?

I'm not a rum drinker, but you do have a good list of rum shops there. As I roam around the island, I'll take note of any particularly interesting ones and repost.

Best Mojitos I have had on the island are at Cuba's Cookin'-not sure what rum they are using.

You should also check out the Palmera Rum factory and store for good and inexpensive local rum-here's the link.

We've been to Cuba's Cooking before and had the Mojito's. That was the old site. We'll have to hit the new site this time. Traveling and collecting rum is the best hobby!

Sounds like a great hobby. We also loved the old location and we're trying out the new place on Sat. July 9th. I'll post my thoughts in my review of the week-hopefully still great mojitos.
