So, What happened to Mambo Jambo's fun decor?
When we were there 3 years ago, Mambo Jambo's was a favorite for lunch. The beautifully painted chairs and tables were sooo fun and unique! Last month we stopped by with great anticipation, and it looks just awful! Worn furniture needing a coat of paint, not as clean, one waitress working (and two ships in!). Is it under new ownership?
This is pic of the "old" Mambo Jambo's" -- |

Think maybe the weather wears the furniture really fast as well as the sun....I agree that the picture for 3 years ago shows off the "fun" atmosphere quite nicely.....will have to stop in November and see if it still needs painting.....haven't been there in a long time since we don't really frequent downtown anymore.....

I think it's more than wear from the weather -- the chairs and tables had been painted solid colors over the coloful and imaginative designs , but was worn off. Really shabby compared to before! Too bad -- it was so cool!
