Special Anniversary Dinner

We will be in Aruba celebrating our anniversary later this year. This is the first time to the Island for us...but long time Carribean vagabonds. We would really appreciate suggestions for a special, intimate and romantic dining experience the evening of our anniversary. I've studied quite a bit and know there are many speical places, but until you are there, it's just so hard to really know.

Thanks for your help!

Romantic Restaurants

Passions fits our budget. If you have a large budget, I would check out the Morningstar http://www.morningstararuba.com/

I booked Passions for our 10th Anniversary. Have heard great things and it sounds like a nice place to spend the evening. We have reservations already for 6:15 on September 1st!!

Passions, not only because you are dining by candle/torch light ON the beach, but also I cannot think of any restaurant that places their tables further apart.

One year we expressed our desire for an intimate experience for a special occasion and we were very pleased when they seated us surf-side at the last table, on the La Cabana side of the beach, and a additional few feet away from everyone else. I think you'll find the staff there very accommodating.

My husband and I just got back from celebrating our first anniversary in Aruba and we went to The Flying Fishbone, it was amazing! We had 6:30 reservations so we got to see a gorgeous sunset (the pictures are awesome) and our table/chairs were right in the water...ahh it was so cool, different and very romantic! We shared appetizers...beef carpaccio and lobster bisque (yum!!), then he had grilled scallops with homemade spaghetti nero in a tarragon sauce (oh yes, I just gave the full description, lol) and I had chilean sea bass with sauce 'provincale' served with mashed potatoes and veggies (it was incredible!!)...I'd definitely recommend this place, worth every penny http://www.flyingfishbone.com/menu.php

We went to Passions and the ambiance was incredible!! Like you said jdoll, the tables are placed far enough apart that you get more than enough privacy and the fact that your toes are in the sand....ahhh perfect! The food though, I wasn't really impressed with. I mean it was good, don't get me wrong, but for the price we paid (which wasn't outrageous, just a little high) we thought it would've been better. My husband's salad was REALLY sweet (I don't see it on the menu) and my friend ordered the shrimp appetizer, there were four little shrimps...he was so bummed, lol. I ordered the Perfect Pair (mahi mahi and baby sea scallops)......the fish was definitely dry and when they said BABY sea scallops, they aren't kidding haha! That said, the mashed potatoes and veggies served with my fish were so good, I almost forgot how dry my fish was, lol, and the drink I ordered was soooo good! Not sure what it was called, I just asked if they had a specialty and that's what she brought me. They were very friendly though and I'm sure we'd go back, maybe they just had an off night with our food
