    Texas De Brazil

What do you think of this restaurant? Is it worth the bucks? We tried Amazonia and thought it was high priced for us as we don't eat 2 pounds of meat at a meal. Read in my morning paper that they are opening one in Tulsa.

both TDB and Amazonia are very similar. if you are not into eating a ton of meat, Amazonia many not be what you want.

that being said, there are folks that rave about the "salad bar only" option at both.

We've never been to TDB. We had been fans of Amazonia until being disappointed the last two visits. Now they're both off the list.

DW loves the salad bar at TdeB... Had done Amazonia a couple of times and switched to TdeB years ago. Better salad bar, great service and atmosphere. Yes, pricey but worth the occasional trip! We get there most trips.

We do TDB most trips. Go to their website http://www.texasdebrazil.com/ and sign up for the Eclub emails. I usually get a discount coupon of some sort for our anniversary and birthdays, and I try to be in Aruba for my birthday every year. That said, the salad bar is a wonderful meal in itself if all of that meat doesn't float you boat.

TdB is more consistent than Amazonia but Amazonia has grilled pineapple that I miss. I am not a huge meat eater but my husband is so we will go to TdB. My biggest advice if anyone goes is to eat tons of what you like and skip the rest. At home I rarely racy beef but I love many of the cuts of steak there so I skip all the chicken, sausage, pork and ribs and only eat steak and lots of it. And I eat tons of their sides which my husband teases is a waste of money but the cheesy rolls are work the price of dinner! Now I am craving it.

I would be one of those I don't eat meat or fish at all so I really look forward to a good salad bar and TdB is a fav! We tried Amazonia last year and weren't impressed. The salad bar only option is less expensive then the reg meal and kids are 1/2 price.

Coming from someone born and raised in Texas, IMHO Texas de Brazil is overpriced and overrated. El Gaucho is MUCH better if you are looking for some delicious steak!

Does anyone have any idea of the cost of just the salad bar? I do like a good steak, but would never eat enough to justify the cost at TdB, so we have never eaten there. However, I do love a good salad bar and am wondering how much it is.
