This might not be the place for this but................this year while dining at Hard Rock the Waiter after taking our order informed us that the 15% service charge was not a tip we were responsible for leaving him a tip. This was our 11 time in Aruba and informed him that we knew that it was split between the workers and we "tip" according to the service we get from him. Another waiter had to finish with us because he was no where to be found after that.

I think he was smart to "disappear". I can't believe he would even tell people that honestly.

That was unfortunate.

We've been to Hard Rock four times since April of 2009 and we never experienced anything like this. If we had, we never would have returned.

can not believe he said that.....one could assume however that he is so used to people that do not understand that the 15% attached to the bill doesn't go to just him, that he just figured he would tell you before you ask ???? Trying to give him the benefit of the doubt.....also, had that been me, I would have been all over him like you-know-what"...and of course the management would have been told immediately....
