tony roma's ripoff

just got back sunday night, have to share my experience at tony roma's.

ordered the roma feast for 31 bucks and got three small rips, two out of the freezer sausauges, and a very small chicken leg and thigh with corn on the cob.

food tasted great, our server was very friendly and hustled, but what a ripoff the meal was. the best part is they served the tiny feast on such a large plate it only made it look more ridiculous.

my kids portion of ribs was bigger.

i didnt bother complaining, i just will never go back.

i mean NO disprespect to you dmo209.

Why is it many of us........when are served something that is "not quite right" just choose to say nothing?
I am one of those people sometimes.
Then it festers and finally many days later, i am still po'd and I have missed my window of opportunity to have the matter resolved.

Any conversation about this?

let me elaborate a little more.....
In aruba on Jan 21, paul and i grabbed salads and wings at CLEOS.
We were too tired to go to a "nice restaurant", but did not want something like subway or wendys. Cleos fit the bill.
There was a BUG in my salad. I hesitated and finally called the waitress over. I APOLOGIZED for being a pest but told her of the bug. SHe brought another salad and i said NO THANKS.
But, the salad was on the bill and we paid it.
Why did i not ask them to take it off the bill??????????
Was I tired? Why were paul and I being wimpy?
We should have said........"ummmm pls take this off the bill as i did not eat more than 1/3 of it due to the bug"
So instead, i am still simmering over the bug, but really simmering over my inability to have had it rectified at the time.

When it comes to food I will sometimes keep my big mouth shut and just learn a lesson. I hate to send food back, I have heard to many horror stories as to what happens to it in the kitchen. I have to say, Tony Romas is off our list now, this past November is the first time since it has been open that we did not return. The place went downhill IMHO. We just do Paddocks for our ribs now! Much better and way much cheaper!

We felt the same when we went there in December. Hadn't been in a long time...off our list.

About contacting the restaurant... still waiting for my email from OMATS!

Been off our list since 2008. Beers cost more than the meal and the meal was just ok. It use to be so good.

We had lunch there yesterday, one of the rare places actually open for lunch in that mall area, and it was "ok". I got the small order of ribs ($10) and a onion burger ($9). The ribs were decent, but Smokey Joes were better, and the burger was actually pretty tasty. With what my wife and our friend ordered, along with drinks and two appetizers, it was only $65. We were pretty happy with the meal until about 45 minutes later when we were racing over to the bathrooms across from the Excelsior Casino in the H.I. Hahahah

If you like ribs/bbq try some of the local joints that San Nic (Dan) talks about. They are very cheap and mostly on Sat/Sun and give you tons of food. For about $8 they mostly include a rack of ribs, 1/2 of chicken, rice, cole slaw, and corn. One order enough for two people. Some of the good one's I went to was Great Rich Bar, Hot take away/ Cafe Capri and the one at the flea market next to Certified Mall.
