Top Restaurant Choices Downtown
Hi all! We are headed down to paradise in 11 days and just wanted to get some updated opinions on the best restaurants near the downtown area as we are staying at the Renaissance Suites. Trying to plan out our meals in advance.
El Gaucho and Iguana Joe's are already on our list. What are your other favorites (with and without kids). Thanks, Dave and Jodie

I like Don Carlos, Aquarius, and LG Smith's. Don Carlo's really doesn't get that much rave but I do like their shrimp scampi when we don't feel like trekking to another restaurant and want to stay close. The guy that greats you, I forget his name has been crying poverty for many years now saying he is going to close but every year when we return he is still there. It's not a preference think as much of a convenience thing for us.

Thanks everyone! I know we won't go hungry. Lots of good recommendations. Has anyone been to Old Man and the Sea lately? I remember it being good food at reasonable prices but we haven't been there in a couple of years. THanks,
Dave and Jodie

I think you must mean The Old Fisherman which is located downtown. The Old Man & The Sea Restaurant is located in Savaneta and just opened in August (great place for romantic, beach dining!)
