    Truffles Restaurant

Has anyone been to Truffles Restaurant yet? It's located in the old Promenade Restaurant. They don't have their website up yet but they do have a Facebook page with their menu.

I guess no one here had been to Truffles. Sadly Truffles Restaurant closed the other day. When I spoke to the owner Marco 3 nights ago he said he was filing for bankruptcy the next day.

were they open for only 5 or 6 weeks?

promenade did not do well either, (although they survived 10 + years there in that spot)...maybe it is the location?

It can be a little confusing to find the parking lot entrance if you're not familiar with it.

    location @ sun plaza
across diagonally from the turn to the lo rise area
(on the corner of the road that leads to lings grocery store)

seems like it should have been a great location

promenade barely squeeked by for all those years.
i would have thought that truffles would have given it a longer try.

So many restaurants open underfunded. It takes a lot of hype and some time for a restaurant to catch on and do the amount of business it needs to pay the bills and make a profit.

Sit in a restaurant and count the staff. If it's 10 you see, expect 5 more in the back of the house. At just $10 per hour, that's $150 in staffing alone plus any taxes and benefits.... say $200 per hour..... Ya gotta sell 10 $20 dinners per hour to cover just the labor.... then there's food cost, rent, utilities, advertising and on and on and on.... It is a tough business.

What I meant was location is everything, perhaps not being in the right spot might have been more successful for them.
Promenade seemed like a "fast" drive by, kinda like outa sight outa mind

I also thought they would have given it more time but Marco said they could not get anymore financing from the bank. That they didn't have the funds to pay their suppliers, marketing costs, etc.
