Unhappy Closing of the Waterfront Crabhouse

I am disheartened by the fact that this restaurant has closed. Have many fond memories of eating their Lobster and Crab Specials! Being so close to the Renaissance was a bonus, and then we would spend a balmy evening under the stars listening to the entertainment (where Tessa used to be, I am going back here). Do you think that the Seaport Mall will fill the void? Also, are they still having live entertainment by the rocky area? If you have any information, kindly post.

Kindly,
Susan

wonder why the place closed?
every time i was there it seemed to have a fair amount of patrons.
i was never wild about their pricing or the consistencey of the dinners....with us it was always a crap shoot. dear husband loved it.
the owner, a very pleasant man, and we always enjoyed saying hello and chatting.

I agree it was a crap shoot, we stopped doing dinners there a long time ago. We did go there for breakfast almost every morning though. The owner was nice, especially being from the east coast both Jersey and Maine I believe.

Any info would help......

A new Restaurant

Cindy, you had a great thought! With this convenient a location, perhaps another restaurant will move in. Location, location, location! And if another good restaurant moves in, they will see us, because we are not excited about exhorbinant cab fares, driving at night, and for the last couple of trips, we weren't thrilled about walking to Driftwood or El Gauchos. Didn't feel as safe as before

I'll miss the "Aruba Weather Stone" that hung from the tripod out in front!
