    We R Cuba

This is a new spot by Alhambra where Hollywood Smokehouse used to be. We stopped for appetizers last evening and it was perfect for a light meal. Their empanadas were wonderful. Flaky dough, spicy filling and not greasy. I wasnít big in the shrimp tempura but Tom enjoyed it and their chicken wings were well done the way we like them. Beware though they do have a guy singing who would just live to come to your table so as Tracy said in one of her posts, donít make eye contact!

Ugh. If this is becoming a trend in Aruba, we’ll never go out again.

Side note (and off-topic): a restaurant we frequent on the island used to have music playing (not loud) in the dining room and it was covers of popular songs but the same singer over and over. She was terrible. We know the restaurant manager pretty well and said to him, “Ugh... get Spotify... the singer is dreadful.” “Owner’s girlfriend”. Oops. But the next time we were in, they didn’t have the tone-deaf chanteuse playing. That or they saw my name on the reservation list and said, “Cut the music!!” when we showed up.

Peg - we love, love, LOVE the Sandbar... lift a marg for us when you get a chance!

Me too! Does anyone enjoy this I wonder? It is just plain awkward, Divi has these guys on Mexican night, guess it is ok when there is a large group at a table but when it is a table or 2, not so much.
