Re: what to wear to dinner
It's very casual. Your husband will be good in shorts and a nice shirt or possibly khaki's, his preference. Don't bother with jeans, you will be way too hot. There doesn't appear to be a dress code at many of the restaurants.
Enjoy. |

Jody, Shorts and a collared shirt are fine for him for any restaurant. Long pants are only needed for Le Dome and Marandi's. Leave the jackets at home and actually bring only half of what you think you'll need! Enjoy the trip!

Re: what to wear to dinner
My husband never brings long pants when we're on vacation in the carribean. I mean never! If a restaurant requires them we just don't go. Aruba is very casual and nice shorts with a tee or golf shirt will be just fine for 99% of the restaurants. For myself, I like to wear a sun dress with heels for dinner, but that's my choice, I could just wear shorts and a tee if I wanted too. Enjoy your stay in Aruba, you will love it. We head there at the end of May.

Re: what to wear to dinner
aruba is casual and comfortable. a couple of capri pants, a couple of sundresses, shorts and tops is sufficient. bring a light coverup for in the restaurants or casino. after being in the sun all day, you may feel the a/c too much.
don't pack alot because you won't need it. |

Re: what to wear to dinner
Been going there for many, many years - casual is the only way to go day or night!!! The only place we found (a few years ago) a jacket was needed for a man was at Chez Mathilda. Unless you a REAL French food nut, don't even bother. VERY expensive and not great food. Shorts, slacks, skirts -all very proper for Aruba.
When you get there, try Madame Janette's - charming and reasonable with gigantic portions. Cab rides are all set by the government and the rates are reasonable. Have a great time. Just got back and can't wait to return next year |
