    What's your favorite dish?

I'm thinking appetizer, entree, dessert. What has been the most memorable? I always look forward to he Dutch apple pie when I go to Aruba and, my favorite version is served at LG Smith. The shrimp Pernod appetizer at Taste of Belgium was so good I have been working on duplicating it at Home. For an entree I would have to say the schnitzel at Madame Janettes. So, what are your favorites?

Favorite dish... too many... but the Bandeja Paisa from Casa Vieja is the stuff of legend. Not for amateur eaters.

    Bon dia.

Linda s fav is the almond grouper at MJs, mine is the grilled grouper at Pelicans nest. Our favorite desert is the toblerone fondu at Chalet Suisse. we stop there some nights after gambling just for that and a cup of coffee. My second fav is the grilled lobster at Matthews and their caprese salad.

I'm normally not a dessert person but Screaming Eagle has 2 desserts I love: the la tazza famossa (chocolate cup filled with Tia Maria, orange sherbert and chocolate mousse) and the tarte tatin (it is just like we had in Paris - similar to an apple tart but better.)

For entrees, I am VERY HAPPY with a nice piece of wahoo - just grilled plain with lemon (hate smothering a good piece of fish in any kind of heavy cream sauce or frying it in a ton of oil.)

Also love the Austrian Goulash Soup at Amadeus and usually order that along with a salad as my dinner there.

And the watermelon and feta salad at Passions is a "must do" on every trip, too.

Filet Mignon just about anywhere in Aruba, the beef here is the best I've ever had. Most memorable was my 50th bday dinner 2 years ago at LG Smith's. Filet, Lobster Bisque, etc. So, so, yummy, service was wonderful. The atmosphere was very nice the only thing that was a little weird was the noise of nearby slot machines next door Hoping to try one of the sunset dinners this year on the beach like Passions or Barefoot, fingers crossed

I really thought I would be the only one to say Grouper from Pelicans nest but that was the first thing that came to mind! Jon's favorite is this grouper with salsa dinner at Iguana Cantina. Desert - do mudslides count? LOL...I'm not sure the name of the beach bar in between Playa Linda and Holiday Inn, but I loved their mudslides.
Not sure when, but we will be back
