omgosh stroop waffles are cookie-like treats.
    they are dutch (i think)
    they are gooey and delicious.

buy them in the cookie aisle at lings, certified or superfood.

we always intend to buy to take them home, but wind up eating them while on island.

best served with a cup of coffee or tea.
set the stroopwaffle on top of the cup of coffee and let the cookie warm up.....omgosh wonderful.

Favorite pastiche comes from the truck just past the Pos Chikito circle on the right. But pastice aren't my favorite thing because there simply isn't enough filling in them.

OMG, stroopwafels are sooooo good, we are addicted to them! Can't even tell you how many we ate over our 5 week trip, and we brought tons home for family and friends that have never been to Aruba but are addicted to them from us always bringing several packs back home to eat. Even better when you put them on top of your hot coffee or tea to soften them up a little.

The BEST ones are at SuperFoods (we have tried them all.. LOL). They get a big shipment of their Dutch stroopwafels in on Tuesday or Wednesday's and in a day or so they are completely sold out until the following week.

Mmm..I still have a few left.. I think I will have to make a pot of coffee and eat some!!

I have never heard about the stroopwafels OR the pastechis--I had to google them and OMG they sound sooooooo good. We will have to try them this year. Maybe when we go on the tour, Cerry will know where we could get them. I see the weight coming on now--oh well I don't care--I will be in Aruba!
