Your opinion of "Ruinas del Mar"

If yo uhave dined at this restaurant then please tell me what you thought of this place. What I am looking for in this place is
1) Would you say the food is average or good or very good
2) If you had a choice where would you choose to be seated for dinner
3) To spend a nice Romantic evening is this a good place to be.

All replies are greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

Niki

Have not been recently. We stopped going because it had gotten so expensive for what was inho, average "hotel" food which was overpriced. The atmosphere is nice, but didn't feel we were getting much else.

We have since replaced it on our "dining itinerary" with the Sunset Grille at the Radisson. Similar pricing, nice romantic dining on their terrace overlooking their gardens and pools and we have never eaten a bad meal there yet.

Food is good, not great. Price is high. Romantic, yes, no water view though. Six of went together, service was ok, not great, and get this, the place wasn't full...yet our waiter wasn't really attentive.
Glad we went, we could then take it off of our list and move to the next.
I would say Sunset Grille was much better, service and food.
good luck

I will have to agree here. We have eaten there, though very romantic, the food is much better (and so is the view) at the Sunset Grille at the Radisson. Make sure you request to sit outside over-looking the waterfalls! The food and service is a sure thing!!

Ruinas Del Mar is so far my fav....

I just ate there a few days ago (8/7) for my birthday and I have to say by far it was my best meal since I have been here. Service was incredible, food was amazing, and the ambiance was worth every buck. Maybe some of you are not thrilled with the prices but you get what you pay for. I had the Sauteed Chicken and it was awesome. My father had the rack of lamb, and said it was the best lamb he has ever had, and he is 100 percent greek. So to each there own I guess. I had a great meal, as did everyone else. We still are raving and I plan on going back before I leave.

PS- I have been to Aruba before, and have eaten everywhere. This visit I have eaten at The French Steakhouse (which sucked, never ever again), Texas de Brazil (talk about over priced....42.99 per person. NOT WORTH IT), Flying Fishbone, which was great, and Blossoms. Blossoms and Ruinas my favorite. Coming in 3rd, Flying Fishbone. Just thought Id share. Off to the beach now. HAHA
