Your opinions on La Trattoria

In our opinion we were verrry disappointed in this restaurant. Aside from the view, this place isn't worth anything close to what they ask. It's like they charge you for the view and use 3 day old food.

Go have a drink and an appetizer and save your money for somewhere else.

this place has a magnificent view and such disappointing food and prices.
this place could be #1 if they hired a good chef, kept entree prices within reason, ran some "sunset specials like dinner for 2 for $60 including a good wine" and had good wait staff.

it is so disappointing to always hear how mediocre this place is.

we have only been there once to dine and hated it.

i would love there to be an extraodinary italian restaurant a view and ambience !

Wow, some things, unfortunately just never change and this is one of them. Over the years we had 2 out of 4 bads meals there. After the last bad one we vowed not to go back and we haven't.

You would think that with the beautiful view, they would make sure they had a good chef to go with the atmosphere.
The problem with the mediocre food is that they probably figure that with the amount of tourists coming and going it doesn't matter about those of us that do return visits...they make money on the newbies and don't have to change a thing ....
But one of these days whatever the problem is will come back to bite them in the you-know-what and the food will have to change for the better...

Help me, I am a bit confused. After awhile, the names of the Italian Restaurants all sound the same. Are we talking about the restaurant at the California Lighthouse?

Now that I'm sure which restaurant you're talking about....I agree! The only thing it's good for is taking pictures (see my avatar).
