Another negative

I go to Aruba every year with 7 other golfers. We play 36 holes a day and enjoy a good dinner and then to the casinos. We always included La Trattoria in our rotation until a few years ago. The food became inconsistant. Some dishses good and others looked like leftovers. But the coup de gras was when we caught them overcharging on the bill. We usually order a couple of bottles of wine with dinner and when I checked the bill they charged us 75 dollars a bottle for wine that was listed at 37. If I didn't catch it we would have been overcharged 76 dollars.

We gave up after four tries.
Twice the food was great and the service was awful.

Two years ago, I have been invited by friends to go to the Lighthouse Restaurant at sunset. It was a wonderful evening, food was very delicious, service was excellent, the restaurant inside as well as there large outside area was packed.

We just go up for a drink, ate a few times - sometimes good sometimes bad!! The sunset is great for a nice drink.

What a shame that such a gorgeous venue is only marginal in service and quality of food served....I've always thought that is would be a great evening - if they had good, consistent food - and a platform to slow dance under the starts!!! Care to dance anyone? lol!!!

I agree! It's a perfect setting, should be perfect food and service (which we have yet to see!) They sure are missing the boat here! Could be the most popular spot on the island!
