    Zeerovers....

We visited it yesterday on the way to Baby Beach.
We have heard so much about this place over the years. It sat on our bucket list for a while until we could figure where it would fit in.

I know there are die hard fans.
I know people swear by if for fresh fish.
Upon arrival we told the woman we were new to this and she explained how to order. Okay , we'll do the 2 person routine with the mahi mahi and shrimp.
We had to ask her to remove some fish and shrimp from the bag because it was way to much. Anyway they cooked our order end delivered a picnic table.
The basket included cooked fish, fries, corn bread, Tatar sauce and marinated onions.

Sorry to say this just didn't work for me. Rob enjoyed, I did not. I don't personally like fried fish or whole shrimp with the heads on it. He would go back, not me. It's one of those, " you love it or you don't".

The location is gorgeous. It sits in a very nice neighborhood.

Zeerovers has been on our list for awhile but we just haven't been able to fit it in. I'm the one who would enjoy it. Like you, Tom is not interested. I recently showed him a you tube video thinking it would peak his interest. He watched it and didn't like that there were so many seagulls!

Thanks for the honest review. Sounds like such a great atmosphere and a cool restaurant idea, but not for me either.

We go there alot to hang out with friends, enjoy the atmosphere, and have a few cold ones. However, we pass on the food because I don't care for fried anything. But we do pick up fresh shrimp (when they have it) to take back to our hotel and make shrimp cocktail with it. Alot of people love the food though so, as with any restaurant, it's all a matter of personal taste.

We too don't indulge in pretty much fried anything, OK the wife will eat a fry or two. We do enjoy the atmosphere though and stop for a beverage on occasion. If everything wasn't fried we'd certainly grab a bite to eat, as we both enjoy fresh fish.

I had planned to go there on my birthday for lunch this past trip. After talking to a few folks on the island, it just wasn't for us. I would like to go and grab some fresh shrimp to take back to the room sometime if I'm in the area. As far as fried food goes you're right Andrea, we try not to eat much fried food anymore. The thing is a grill doesn't take up that much room, and a lot more of us would probably eat there with a grilled option on the menu. Thanks for the honest review Cindy.

I enjoy the atmosphere when meeting friends, having cold beer and shrimp.
Never ordered any fish, worried about bones!
