Re: All inclusive - is it worth it?

We honeymooned in Aruba in July and did an AI at the Divi. It was fabulous, and I'd say it was worth every penny, especially if you and your fiancee enjoy having a few cocktails on vacation.

We had never been to Aruba before, and we liked that we didn't have to venture into "uncharted territory" EVERY time we wanted to eat. We did venture outside of the Divi for a couple meals, but since we weren't familiar with the area, it was nice to be able to take a break from the beach and eat lunch at the resort without having to get dressed, catch a cab, etc.

I would recommend doing an all-inclusive - we definitely thought it was money well-spent, and we'll go back to the Divi next time we're in Aruba!

A 10 oz. beer is about $4.50 and regular mixed drinks are $5-$6 each. It can really add up when you each have a few in the course of the day. Some hotels offer a breakfast & beverage package, leaving you free to go out to some of the wonderful area restaurants for dinner.
