Another option besides flowers?

Has anyone used or seen brides/bridesmaids use Parasols instead of flowers?

I found some really great ones I'm thinking of using:

I'm thinking the flowers on the Island would be pretty but they are only going to be used walking down the isle but If I get the Parasols the girls can have them as a keepsake forever.

Still trying to decide............

went to a wedding in MA a couple of yrs ago (a garden wedding) and the attendants had parasols.

I had considered parasols. I thought they'd be so pretty and give the girls some shelter from the sun. But, I was concerned about the wind. I think some times of year may be windier than others. I thought they'd be so pretty but on our first visit to Aruba (May?) the wind was really strong (strong enough to knock over full wine glasses). However when we were there for our wedding at the very end of October the wind was much more tame. Has anyone else used parasols in Aruba? I'm sure I would have liked them much more than the bridesmaid bouquets we ended up with.

Parasols

Aruba can be very windy some days so I would not recommend that the female attendants carry them instead of flowers as they might turn into Mary Poppins

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. It might be too windy for parasols.
