We got married in Aruba on May 20, 2008. Indira Maduro of Aruba Fairy Tales planned our wedding. She made our wedding day everything we had hoped for. Being from New York State and so far away from Aruba, we were nervous about all of the details about the wedding. Indira assured us that everything would be taken care of. She was right. From my hair being done in my room, to my flowers being delivered right on time, to our photographer, to the wedding ceremony itself, everything was perfect. Marietta came to our room and did my hair. She did a beautiful job! Julia Renfro was our photographer. We couldn't have asked for a more professional and fun person to spend our wedding day with. Our pictures came out better than we had ever imagined. Indira also made sure that all of our paperwork was in order. She made sure that we received the translated copy of our marriage certificate before we left Aruba. We would recommend Indira to anyone who is planning to get married in Aruba.

We had only one ceremony, at the Civil Hall. It was a beautiful place to get married.

We had no problem using our marriage certificate from Aruba to make name changes in New York. I went to Social Security first and after receiving my new SS card, then I changed my name at the DMV. We didn't have problems with anyone recognizing our marriage as legal.
