    Aruba Wedding Venue

    Hi Everyone,

This is a great forum and I really enjoy reading all your great tips. This is my first post and I'm really looking forward to your feedback. My fiancee and I would like to get married in Aruba in May 2013 and are looking for an all inclusive resort that will accomodate a private ceremony followed by a private reception for up to 100 guests. Any resorts you could recommend? We are willing to host the wedding offsite so if there are any restaurants you could recommend that would be great as well. Thanks for your help

welcome to the aruba.com community forum

look into DIVI AI, Tamarijn AI, the Renaissance Suites and Marina, the Occidental, the Riu, and the Manchebo.

I am unsure if Amsterdam Manor offers all inclusive. Hopefully someone will make a post about Amsterdam Manor if they have AI.

We just finished writing an update to our thread and saw your post. Here's some information you might find helpful.

NO resort can accommodate a private ceremony, they are very public, on a public beach at 6:00pm, when most people are on the beach to enjoy the Sunset. The only hotel that can provide you with privacy is Renaissance, and we have a bunch of information about them our planner send us, send me a message and I will e-mail them to you. We have about 86 guest who have confirmed they are coming down, so we were also looking for an all inclusive. Jason explained to us that The RIU might get bad reviews for weddings that take place there, but as a hotel and an all-inclusive it's very good, so we are considering it. We loved the Bucuti for our ceremony, and our planner had good things to say, but it is adults only. So we are maybe discussing the Manchebo for our ceremony if we can't get through with the Renaissance, or we are also discussing a wedding on Arashi Beach, and reviewing pictures of all the locations.

Who is helping your plan your wedding? Having a planner can help, and we are talking from experience.

    Arrow Renaissance

The Renaissance offers an all inclusive package.

If you want a private wedding location Renaissance Island IS the place.

Even a beach like Arashi which though off the beaten path, may have other people there at the time of your ceremony.

I have witnessed dozens of weddings on the beach in Aruba. The public is always respectful and does not interfere (on purpose) with the ceremony. You will get a random person occasionally walking behind the altar, etc.

also too, the wedding planning staff and photographers should and will respectfully ask onlookers to move on and out of the range of photos.

I've had locals even help me clear the beach from seaweed, so I can do a couples sunset shoot on a clean beach (They understand the importance of keeping tourists happy). So Arashi might be a good option, but then you have to deal with transportation, setup, breakdown and other details that come into play.

    Best Wishes,

http://www.aruba.com/forum/images/icons/icon14.gif I was thinking of the additional costs for "...Arashi might be a good option, but then you have to deal with transportation, setup, breakdown and other details that come into play.", but was not going to mention it.
    I am glad you did.

Wow- that guy in the pic is pretty obnoxious.

I guess you will get the occasional drunken disrepectful person and you can plan for that.

In the wedding I attended a couple years ago - onlookers stayed off to the side.

I guess you cant always count on that - and when it comes to a wedding - you only get one shot.
