Assistance from Wedding Planners- Slow Turnaround the Norm?

Hello, I wanted to get input from other Aruba brides out there. I booked my wedding at the Marriott and hired one of the hotels wedding planners, but am having trouble getting responses to emails and phone calls. My wedding isn't for another 6 months, but still have questions, and am feeling quite ignored. Is this normal? My wedding planner does not like phone calls, plus she takes on average about a month to respond to emails. Very frustrating. Am I alone here?

I think waiting a few days is acceptable and of course if you email on a friday and don't hear till tuesday or wednesday. but more than a week is unacceptable. I have to write that down, dream weddings aruba. though when i emailed the bucuti, it was on a saturday and the woman there got back to me on a sunday. i was very impressed

Hi! If you've booked with the Marriott in the past few weeks, you might have been dealing with Abigail, who recently went on Maternity Leave, and could be the reason for the slow reply's. chela.delannoy@marriotthotels.com, use this e-mail to get direct help.

If you need anything else, please do not hesitate to ask! And rest assured that Marriott is without any doubt, an amazing destination wedding location.

Best Wishes!

ArubaBride2011,

I am another Marriott bride!

I am getting married in early August and we did our planning last month. My experience was that they schedule about 3 1/2-4 1/2 months out. They make it very easy!! It is hard to explain, but I think they have a set plan. It is very efficient but effective.

Simone is my wedding planner and she has been wonderful! Simone thought of things I never would have thought of.
