Beach Blessing Times

Hey Everyone,

I am having my ceremony on the beach at 6:30? What time did everyone have theirs and what time do you think is best?

Thanks for the help,
Meredith

We had our ceremony at 6:30 as well last August. It was perfect- not too hot , but still light out. But, the best time depends on the time of year. When is your wedding?

Yes, I was wondering the same. We are thinking of a vow renewal and want to do near sunset but not at dark.

6:30 should be perfect this time of year i think. I'm going down to Aruba this Sunday. I'll see what's it's like at 6:30 and send you a reply!

Hi everyone... So many beach weddings later...
You would like to do the ceremony a little before the sun sets and make use of the sunset colors for your posed pictures and group pictures. This is just IF you don't have a great sunset, at least your ceremony would have taken place with good lighting and you'll have time to take more photos along the shore, or... in the water? If you have a large group it is also nicer with natural light.
The sun sets earlier in the winter (same as in North America), so you would like to consider that too. Talk to your photographer! Believe me that they DO know best.

Sunset

Hi,
It all depends on the amount of guests you have and want pictures taken with. If it is just the two of you, 6:30 will be a good time, since the ceremony takes tops 20 minutes, which leaves you with a 15 to 20 minutes tops of sunset and post sunset pictures. I would still recommend having it a few minutes earlier, better to be safe than sorry. The situation mentioned above is in case you have a bright and lightly cloudy day and not heavily cloudy, since that will give you around 10 minutes of "nice sky". In case you have lots of guests attending and you want to take group pictures and pictures of everybody, you'll have to start not later than 6:00pm, and not later. After all, you want sunset pictures or at least beach pictures, and not a pitch black background.

Best regards

I'm in Aruba now and anytime between 6 and 6:30 would be a good time. 6 would give you more time for pictures if there are a lot of guests, but closer to 6:30 might be better if it's just a few guests. good luck!
