We started planning our wedding about a year ago. This forum helped us find a photographer, officiant and other ideas. So we hope that our experience will help anyone looking for some guidance. We got married in the USA and decided to do a beach ceremony on Valentine's Day. We had about 20 guests with us. The ceremony was at sunset on Arashi beach and was done by Rev. Gibson. He was really nice and romantic. I would definitely recommend him to anyone. After the ceremony, we went back to the villa we rented and had dinner which was catered by Moomba Beach. Everyone loved the food, especially the steak.
The other person who we could not say enough of is our photographer Angela Muzenhofer. (You can see our pictures on
http://picasaweb.google.com/Bellarub...wJohannaArruda) She was amazing. We only wanted a simple ceremony and then an intimate reception at our house. Angela listened to what we wanted and then offered ideas and suggestions that guided me all the way to the end. She even picked out our cake (and did a better job than us!) We can't thank her enough for all the hard work she put into this. Not only did she help via email but when we got to Aruba she picked me (Johanna) up to see the place where the ceremony would be, she gave me a name of a florist (I ordered my flowers a couple of days before) and dropped off the cake when it was ready. If there is such a thing as a "wedding guardian angel" she is the one....
Please feel free to email with any questions you may have.
Good luck,
Johanna & Mat Arruda
