Beach Ceremony on Feb. 14, 2008

We started planning our wedding about a year ago. This forum helped us find a photographer, officiant and other ideas. So we hope that our experience will help anyone looking for some guidance. We got married in the USA and decided to do a beach ceremony on Valentine's Day. We had about 20 guests with us. The ceremony was at sunset on Arashi beach and was done by Rev. Gibson. He was really nice and romantic. I would definitely recommend him to anyone. After the ceremony, we went back to the villa we rented and had dinner which was catered by Moomba Beach. Everyone loved the food, especially the steak.

The other person who we could not say enough of is our photographer Angela Muzenhofer. (You can see our pictures on http://picasaweb.google.com/Bellarub...wJohannaArruda) She was amazing. We only wanted a simple ceremony and then an intimate reception at our house. Angela listened to what we wanted and then offered ideas and suggestions that guided me all the way to the end. She even picked out our cake (and did a better job than us!) We can't thank her enough for all the hard work she put into this. Not only did she help via email but when we got to Aruba she picked me (Johanna) up to see the place where the ceremony would be, she gave me a name of a florist (I ordered my flowers a couple of days before) and dropped off the cake when it was ready. If there is such a thing as a "wedding guardian angel" she is the one....

Please feel free to email with any questions you may have.

Good luck,

Johanna & Mat Arruda

I'm using Angela for our Beach ceromony on Friday Feb 29th. It's so close I can't believe it. It's good to hear great things about her. Our wedding consists of 73 guests however so it's good to know that our photographer is a good one becasue we'll need it.

I just looked at your pics, they are amazing! You two look like a great couple. What was the name of the house you rented? It looks very much like the one we rented to stay in with our wedding party. Is it the Salina Villa or the Dameron Villa? If it is can you offer me any advice on the house as far as, does it have a nice stereo so we can listen to music around the pool, things of that nature.

Thank You Johanna for your kind words. I never looked at myself as a guardian angel but as you put it I love giving good advice in making a wedding day special, stressfree and a wedding-moon to remember. Marriage as friendship is priceless as is photography & memories.
Sunny regards,
Angela

Hello all....thanks for all your good wishes! We had a great time and I'm sure this was just the beginning of great life together. Someone asked about our house. We had 2 houses rented: Dameron and Salina Villa. I don't remember having speakers at Salina Villa (which it is the one we had the reception at) but we used our iPod and brought our own speakers and it was fine.

Let me know if I can be of more help....

Johanna
