Certificate of non-impediment

Hi Everyone!

I'm getting married in June and I need to get a Certificate of Non-Impediment.
This just needs to show that we are not currently married to anyone, right? I can just have the current year researched? The Dept of Vital Statistics can go as far back as age 14......and I really don't want to pay for more information than I need.
Does anyone know if there is a certain amount of years to be researched?

I know this is probably a stupid question......sorry!
