    Certificate of non-impediment

    Hi Everyone!

I'm getting married in June and I need to get a Certificate of Non-Impediment.
This just needs to show that we are not currently married to anyone, right? I can just have the current year researched? The Dept of Vital Statistics can go as far back as age 14......and I really don't want to pay for more information than I need.
Does anyone know if there is a certain amount of years to be researched?

I know this is probably a stupid question......sorry!

    thanks for your help.

Hi Bryan, Your post (and interview with Mr. Christiaans) were very helpful. We are about 90% complete with our paperwork too, but it with many contradicting sources of information out there, it was great to confirm that we are right on track. Thank you for helping.

    Hi Flamingo78,

It was my pleasure. It's because of the conflicting information that I've decided to interview Mr. Christiaans.

Glad tp know that I've helped at least one person.
