Hi We are getting married in Aruba in December and we need to contact the civil hall. Does anyone have the phone number for the Civil hall.

I recently learned that Mr. Betto Christiaan's, Civil Registrar had an extremeley serious medical issue and will not be returning. Civil ceremonies are still being performed, but now they are very short handed with individual's to perform a civil ceremony and process the documents. Normally, documents required for a civil ceremony must be received at the Aruba civil house one month before the ceremony. We are already in November. If you call the civil house directly, you might have a problem at this time getting someone to assist you. Also, the civil house closes between Christmas and New Years and I believe the civil house is closing for the holiday's this year on December 23rd. Plus the fact that local Aruba citizens rush to have their civil ceremonies before the civil house closes for the holiday's.

I called the civil house, spoke with a very nice woman who is taking over the role that mr. christiaans had. (she also did not confirm or deny that mr. christiaans was out on medical leave) she assured me phone calls will be answered or returned and there is no disruption of any kind of services provided.

she told me that today is VERY busy.
lots of weddings on the docket.
brides and grooms want to have 11/11/11 as "their date"
