Its really funny how particular threads disappear about negative wedding planners.

I cannot comment on the recent deletion of the wedding planner thread.............the reason i cannot comment is i know nothing about it.

apparently, the webmaster (in the ata office) realized that the thread was either
inappropriate, or slanderous, or something of that nature.

sometimes the original poster contacts us, and asks us to delete the thread as they feel they have "mistyped".............we advise them to try to edit it themselves.

believe me when i say, we look long and hard at any deletion options and then we try to be as careful as we can.

thanks for the input
keep posting and do not be a stranger to this forum

Deleting Threads

I agree. The purpose of the boards is for people to communicate and get feedback on anything Aruba, specifically this forum: wedding planning. If someone has had a bad experience with a particular planner, hotel and/or restaurant, they are giving us the courtesy so that we do not experience the same disappointment. Wedding planning can be a difficult and daunting task, not to mention planning it from another country.

We all share our thoughts on this board, and to delete a person's experience with a certain planner is only benefitting the business of the coordinator - not those of us who view the boards daily for new information about planning our wedding. What kind of message is given to the readers - if you post something negative about the island - it wil be deleted? I'm very disappointed!

I agree gigi. This particular thread was about a negative experience with Aruba Fairy Tales. It was neither slanderous nor inappropriate. However I noticed that post about positive experiences remain. Sounds a little suspect to me

why don't i email the webmaster and make an inquiry?
as i said in a prior post i do not know the reasoning as i never did see the thread nor make the deletion.

i think it is important for all of us as moderators or as webmaster to be fair and impartial.

i will ask the webmaster, to explain........hope that you do not think there is funny business here.

Hello everybody, here is the explanation why I deleted the message.

The thread starter asked me if the message could be deleted, as she did not wanted to get others angry in communicating posts.

It whas not because there was anything wrong with it, the thread started just did not expected this to happen. I hope you can understand my decision. It was not my intention to have people think bad about the forum, I was just caring out a request of the thread starter. Normaly we do not delete messages unless they are inappropriate.

Regards
Webmaster
