DJ's for Reception

Hi! We're trying to decide on a DJ for our reception this July. We didn't have an opportunity to meet with anyone while we were there last year. Who did you use? Please share your experiences! We're looking for a young DJ who can get the crowd going and emcees well. We have our own list of music so that will make it easier on the DJ. Everyone knows music is so important at a wedding. Our intention is to have everyone on the dance floor the entire night Thanks for your help!!!

Mark Benson and DJ Randolph did an awesome job for us. FAR exceeded our expectations. People we never expected to see on the dance floor were out there half the night. They did a great job during dinner and then knew how to get the party rockin'. From our 9-year old to the two 81 year-old guests, they all had a blast! They really know how to 'read' the group (Randolph plays the music and Mark emcees the event).

We met them both at our hotel two nights before our reception and talked through our expectations. They asked good questions and delivered. I also communicated with Mark via email well before our wedding. We asked them to mix in some current popular music, some local and latin / Caribbean music AND some Punjabi Bhangra. We thought it was going to be tough to do but they expertly wove it all together. And we insisted we wanted 'something local'... they kind of laughed as they told us about "The Wiper"... a local song complete with a dance! Near the end of the night they got everyone on the dance floor and led our guests through the wiper dance. It was hilarious and helped our party end on a really fun note.
