IMHO El Gaucho is pricey for a rehearsal dinner and does not have enough of a selection for those non-steak eaters. However if you love steak and price is no issue than el gaucho is awesome, and as someone earlier stated, they have private rooms upstairs.

I also agree with the comments about El Gaucho and Moomba's....I like the food at El Gaucho's but it isn't cheap and yeah, it can get loud, Moomba's food is only okay.
Someone made a comment about Gianni's...Sole Mare is also owned by the same family and is a little ways up in Noord, but they have another serving area away from the main dining room. I don't think a cab would be too much, the hotel may even take you there with their vans.....food is good and atmosphere is pleasant...only IMO... I am sure where ever you choose it will be great, half the fun is just everyone being together anyway..Congrats on your upcoming nuptials...

We're doing ours at El Gaucho. First, it's one of our favorite restaurants on the island. They have a beautiful new private room where the nightly entertainers come up and play exclusively for your party for 1/2 hour. They also have a great group menu (3 courses + drinks, and really good pricing) and will accommodate any special requests. They have a docking station for iPods if you want to bring along to play your own music. For us, it was perfect. I don't understand the negative reviews, but to each their own. I am looking forward to it!
