Hairdresser?

I'm getting married in April and was wondering who others have used as their hairdresser?

Any suggestions would be helpful.

Thank you !

Best place on the island in Knipoog - have used all the hairdressers and never a bad cut or color.

Maggies goes thru stylists too much in my opinion. For something
so special - this place are has mainly dutch, dutch/arubian people
who speak english well - which is really really important -
I have gotten scalped when someone did not understand
what I wanted!!!

Their website is www.knipoogaruba.com

I'm not good at giving directions but you would go downtown
heading towards the airport, right after you leave town - you go
over a bridge and make your first left. Then come to the stop
sign and make another left - that is the road they are kinda
on - drive a short way and you'll see them on your right.

Jennifer at the Radisson did my hair for my wedding in 07. She was great. I was very nervous while she was doing it , but afterwards it turned out great.
Ive attached a picture, but I know this is not the greatest. This picture was taken on a boat maybe 3 or 4 hours after the wedding and it still looked great

I used the salon provided by the Radisson as well. She came right to my room. She did an amazing job. I was a bit nervous too - but could not have been happier. i was married in 2005.

Hair Recommendations

I'm getting married at the Marriott on October 10th. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a hair salon that's willing to travel for wedding day hairstyles for the bride, 3 bridesmaids & 2 mothers.

Thanks

I'm probably going to use the Mandara Spa since I'm getting married there but was looking to see if I could get a better price!

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding. Mandara Spa is very good, but a bit more expensive then some of the other hair salons. You might want to look into Westin's Spa and Salon as the hair dressers are very good and I believe less expensive then Mandara. You would have to take a taxi and if you are having your ceremony close to sunset, make your appointment around 1 p.m. I also suggest you have a photo taken of yourself at your home city and state salon ASAP with the exact hairstyle that you want. Bring that photo with you and show to your Aruba hairdresser. Many of the hairdressers in Aruba speak English, but might not understand what you are trying to convey if you come without the photo. I also suggest if you are wearing a headpiece that you bring it with you to your own home city and state hair salon so you can see how that hairstyle that you chose looks with your headpiece. Be sure to bring the headpiece with you to the Aruba hair salon. Lastly, after you get your hair done in Aruba, make sure you stay in airconditioning. If your hair is long, either wear it up or half down and off your face. With the breezes in Aruba you never know if the breeze will be heavier on your wedding day. Again, congratulations and may your wedding day be the beginning of joy and happiness for ever.

Even with pictures, this woman couldn't get it right.

Language barrier or not - if you have a picture of what you want, the hairdresser should be able to do it. Let us know how you make out!
would you mind letting us know which hair dresser that was so we can avoid him/her?
