There are so many great beauticians who specialize and MUA on the sland that I would go with rule of thumb-
If you are at a hotel than check with your coordinator about their salon and if you get a pre trial. For instance Westin , Renaissance, Marriott are a few to mention that have there own beauty shop and for those who are close to Playa Linda, Holiday Inn, Radisson, Hyatt, Occidental can use Maggy's which do a great job and are known for creative updo's.
The local salon's are great but to be honest many do not speak english and for you to find them is another problem. You want your day to stressfree and easy but yet again in a place that you can trust especially on your wedding day. A word of advice- book bridal party accordingly so no one is late getting to the wedding on time. Bride at least 3-4 hours before andup-do and makeup at least 2 hours before wedding. Got to get ya at alter.Hope this info helped.
That is why I like Knipoog - they speak english well. Have gone into local
salons and the language barrier is huge especially trying to explain hair!
I was always hesitant even in the states to have make overs done. I would
generally look at what the person's make up looked like who was doing it -
because generally that is their 'style'. Also have had a moderate problem
w/ language at Maggy's...
A trial makeup session is a really good idea. It's such a personal matter.
When in July? I am getting married 7/16 on Eagle Beach. My planner, Edwina, has lined someone up for me to do my hair and makeup and hair for my mom and sisters/neice. Let me know if you want me to get name and number. I looked at pics in some of the pictures I've seen and all looked lovely. She will some to your hotel room also.
